Smells Like Teen Spirit - The Muppets

I’m going to take a moment right now to share with you my thoughts on The Muppets. Every moment of that movie is perfection. There is not one scene or second in my mind that came across as lackluster or not genuine.

The campy laugh out loud moments were there and each one was great. I especially loved Amy Adams and Miss Piggy’s “Party Of One.” And the above audio posted here got one of the biggest laughs in the theater I was in. 

But even more important than the laughs was the movie’s heart…and boy did it have a big one. I found myself hiding the tears on my face more than a few times. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so please go see the movie so you can understand exactly what I mean. (I chose not to post the song that made me lose it completely…but I bet you can guess what it is) Kermit will break your heart and put it back together again. 

I wish I could personally thank Nick Stoller,  Jason Segel and everyone else involved for not only having faith in the Muppets and their ability to entertain, but for also having faith in their fans. For knowing that they would love to return to a simpler time and just accept the 3rd greatest gift that anyone could give…laughter.
